Additional Information

Conversational interview. Begins with a handheld camera zoomed in on the face of an elderly woman with white hair (Mrs Gallagher). The camera zooms out to reveal that she is seated in an armchair in a living room with floral wallpaper and a mantelpiece. We hear a child giggling, the man behind the camera talks with Mrs Gallagher about being filmed. As the interview progresses, they engage in conversation about Mrs Gallagher's history of living in the Garnethill neighbourhood, Busby's visits to Barlinnie prison. It becomes apparent that 2 other adults are also present, an older man and woman who present tea off camera. The 4 adults discuss the community of local neighbourhoods, the Glasgow subway, and gardening and allotments. The film is one continuous shot with no cuts, sometimes employing pans and zoom to focus on the person speaking. Ends with a close-up on Mrs Gallagher remarking on the Prince of Wales Ballroom, wiping her mouth with a cloth. Tracking waves cut the footage.
