Additional Information

Documentation of new age/jazz performance at Blythswood Square. Starts with a shot of a framed Sri Chinmoy portrait, sitting in front of one of the amplifiers. The band is a 5-piece, comprising drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, saxophone and flute, playing improvisational jazz numbers. There is a seemingly intentional attempt to make the footage psychedelic, with a lot of rapid zooming in and out, as well as shaking the camera from side to side. This produces a sort of bleed from the light areas of the images - whether this is accidental or intentional is unclear. The video is well shot and edited with techniques such as focus pulling used throughout. At the end of the tape there is a short performance by what appear to be 3 members of the band, now all playing guitar (2 acoustic and 1 electric).
