Additional Information

Live dance rehearsal and performance. Begins with zoom in and out on a large group of children performing a choreographed dance on a tiered stage. The performance that ensues appears to be youth or community musical theatre. The film contains a sequence of choreographed dances with folk acoustic accompaniment, choral numbers, solo performances and interstitial monologue and dialogue. Possibly in its 'dress rehearsal stage', the performance is sporadically stopped and started by a woman offstage giving directions. To divide a first from second act, there is a notable and comical monologue by a young boy in hat. The film is executed in one long continuous shot with no cuts, only employing zooms and pans to focus in on aspects of performance. Judging from the last musical number ('Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord'), this may be an amateur student production of the contemporary theatrical hit musical Godspell. Ends on a wave out to static mid-performance of the final musical number, and the footage cuts.
