Additional Information

Footage of Orange Order March from Blythswood Square followed by documentation of ‘Aspects ’75’ exhibition of ‘contemporary Yugoslav art’. Starts with crowds in the Square watching the march, with members of the crowd talking to and waving at the camera operator. The format of marches seems to have changed little - with the usual flutes, drums and banners, plus a few accordions. 6 minutes in the film cuts to exhibition at Blythswood Square premises, very quiet in contrast to the noisy parade outside, with only a couple of visitors caught on camera. The exhibition includes sculpture and painting - both figurative and abstract, photography, pop art, text pieces. There is a shot of a poster at the end, reading ‘Aspects ’75, An Exhibition of Contemporary Yugoslav Art, 14th - 31st July.’ The camera is handheld throughout, with interesting shots where the it is turned on its side to better frame certain pieces in the exhibition.
