Welcome to the project website for 'The Glasgow Miracle: Materials for Alternative Histories'. This website is a work in progress, simply to document the large ammount of work already undertaken during the initial speculative project, and is no way a complete reprsentation of all creative activity in Glasgow during the period. Work still continues improoving images, catalouging inaccuracies, filling gaps in the timeline and researching the details of the archive so please bear with us. David Allen is a contemporary artist working in Sweden, having completed his MFA at the Glasgow School of Art, with an international exchange at California Institute of the Arts. In this artist to artist interview, Allen discusses his early childhood experiences of art and culture, and goes on to discuss his informal and institutionalised art education, with specific conversation about the musical influences on his work and various exhibitions. Filmed in a friend’s studio in, with extracts at the beginning of Allen’s studio in Sweden.
